End of torchbearer of the golden era of Bollywood world, Dilip Kumar who ruled an era of Bollywood. There are no words to describe his legacy and there is no need because his movies speak about his legacy.

I have not listed his most famous movies such as Mughal-E-Azam, Devdas, Madhumati, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam etc. but rather movies that were successful but either forgotten or underappreciated. These movies were ahead of their time.

Tragedy King Dilip Kumar has done only 3 comedy movies in his life or precisely only 2 and this is the one, and he has done this movie with tragedy queen Meena Kumari and this turns out to one of the best light comedies of Bollywood and is a must-watch. Such a shame that they never did again this kind of movie.

A ruthless and wealthy man wants to marry Shobha who lives with her uncle and aunt. Shobha got kidnapped at one night and nowhere to be found, but few days later she returns to her uncle and stated that she was kidnapped but rescued by a wealthy man name Azaad and she wants to marry him. But to her family’s horror Azaad himself is a bandit, will this marriage happen.

This is another comedy movie of both tragedy king and queen before Kohinoor. Heard the famous song “Ablam Chaplam?” yes it’s from this movie.

A movie on a political drama where Vijay is a young and enthusiastic law student who stands against wrong government policies. He falls in with a beautiful girl who is a princess and invites big issues. He becomes the prime suspect in a murder of a politician. After hearing this, Gopi in rage steals the money from the landlord and got accused of stealing and thrown out of the house by Girdhari. So Gopi leaves for the city to earn his living and to become a big man.

Kundan grows up as a fine young man, a beautiful dancer Munni is sent by his enemies to entrap him and kill him but she falls in love with him. Now Kundan has to deal with his grandfather and his enemies who are very powerful.
